We were contacted by the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) to shoot a series of interviews across the country with law enforcement executives in the summer of 2013 for their School Resource Officer training package. With NW3C taking care of the scheduling, McBob handled all the production needs, which were simple… six professionally lit high-profile 2-camera interviews with impeccable audio, but only with what gear you can bring in two carry-ons and one checked tripod bag. And you’ll often only have 15 minutes to set up.
I again relied upon the AF100 with sync sound, paired with a hacked GH2 for B-camera duties. Lighting was exclusively Lowel tungstens for their unbeatable blend of petite punch. A small MeFoto travel tripod substituted nicely for the large sticks on the static B-camera, and gear was kept mostly built in the cases for quick deployment. From LA to Indianapolis, Atlanta, DC, and two Virginia locations, I managed to not get myself arrested and turned around solid interviews for NW3C to edit.
