Gavin vs. Ruth (and C100 vs. GH4)

FloWrestling hired McBob.TV to help produce the Virginia portion of this athlete promo for their Olympic-style wresting match slated in November 2014. I met with UVA assistant wrestling coach and top-notch grappler Keith Gavin at UVA’s practice facilities, using a fairly bare-bones camera and lighting setup to showcase Gavin’s NCAA Champion and US National Team level ability and mindset, with just a hint of drama.

We used the Panasonic GH4 for the Keith Gavin portions in Charlottesville, and FloWrestling’s Tony Stolfa used the Canon C100 for the Ed Ruth portions in Texas. With C-log on the C100 and a slightly modified Cine-D profile on the GH4, Tony brought the two very different cameras to a very similar look in post.
