FirstLook TV out of the United Kingdom contacted us in early 2018.  As part of their upcoming series, we assisted them in producing the Virginia portion of their episode on “Back to School Killer” Jesse Matthews.

Thankfully, I didn’t have to spend any personal time ruminating on Jesse Matthews.

Instead, FirstLook’s treatment relied heavily upon the memories, insights, and the rebuilding of lives touched by loss.  We spent a day speaking with the parents and teachers of Morgan Harrington, a girl whose disappearance sparked the first major social media missing person search in our nation’s history.

I’d previously met the Harringtons during my 2-month stint as a local news videographer in late 2010.  Their obviously wounded yet indomitable spirits can’t help but inspire.
